When is a good time to start dating again?

I've been broken up with my child's father for a about 8 months now. We were in a relationship for 4 years and engaged. He been expressing to me that I can't date anyone else also that it would hurt him. I'm at the point where I want some male attention. Yes he does give me the attention and a little affection at times but I want someone who wants to be with me full time not when its convient for them. I want to be happy and talk to other ppl. I get so lonely after the baby is asleep. It would be nice to talk to someone who actually responds besides me little baby who only says baba, dada, and bye bye. Lol!😂
