Spotting after checks?

I've never had it occur after any vaginal exams and I had my 38 week check today. Immediately once I got home, I went to use the restroom and the tp was covered in orange tinted blood. My checks before have also never hurt and today this one did but I'm still not dilated or effaced. Nothing. It's just unusual for me because I didn't even spot after having my Pap smear in the beginning of my pregnancy. Hoping this is a good sign but I'm not going to get my hopes too high because of things don't change by next Thursday, we're going to be discussing induction. 😞
