Overwhelmed & confused..

Okay y'all, so I'm only 20 weeks pregnant and due in January. However, when I went for my 20 week check up with my OB, I was told something terrifying to me. And I just don't really understand. Doctor said that the baby's head is already downward and right against my cervix. He said it's already beginning to thin out as well. I've been experiencing Braxton Hicks and leaking breasts. He said that he is worried about my water breaking early and said that a natural labor could possibly put myself and my son in life threatening danger. He said that where the baby is positioned, I would end up losing way too much blood. He has referred me to a specialist that I will be going to see next week. They are saying if the baby hasn't moved upward at all then we are going to have to discuss our options. I asked him what he meant and he had said that we would need to schedule an early c - section.. Having the baby three months early, and then having to careflight my newborn baby boy 3 hours away from me to Cooks Children's Hospital and not allowing me to go be with my child until 4 days later after I "recover" from this c - section.
