when do you have your first period after birth?

I know you can bleed up to 6 weeks after birth, I'm 3 weeks in & I have nearly stopped bleeding. Just wondering when to expect my first period

It depends if your breastfeeding or not, i'm bottlefeeding and i stopped postpartum bleeding at 6 weeks and got my first period at 8 weeks.

I bottle feed and my bleeding from having my little one stopped when I was 3 and a half weeks then my proper period came when my son was just shy of 6 weeks. But everyone is different x

It depends. Everyone is different. If you're breastfeeding, you might get your period before you're done, or you might not get one until you stop. I didn't get my first PP period until my daughter was 3 months and I had to start bottle feeding.

Everyone is different. I got my first at 12 weeks pp. Breastfeeding doesn't really have much effect on that. That's why drs tell you to use protection even if your breastfeeding. My cousin exclusively BF her daughter and was pregnant at 5 months pp with no period prior. Another cousin had her period by 10 weeks pp again exclusively breastfeeding. It varies widely for each person and can happen anytime after pp bleeding stops.
