just a question about dating app

Ok, so started to chat to this guy on a dating app, now a few times when he couldn't get my attention for a few days, he started to attack verbally calling me a dick head etc, I felt bad, and the reason being is because it was my birthday in July and even tho we had never ever met he bought me gifts for it, a necklace with me and my kids names engraved in hearts, a bracelet of a heart beAt, I started to chat to him again and he Asked to meet up, so I did, but the guy came bearing gifts, not only those for me, but ones he bought my daughter and my son 😕 as nice as this is, I found it strange. Not only that, but he was strange, acted distant from me when I'm my company, a little out of sorts, very little convo, slightly attitudey. It just went strangely. I'm starting to believe the motives aren't great. He didn't try for sex or anything like that. I'm acc terrified to arrange another meet. What do you ladies think? EDITED** Oh and when he left, he did send a text to me saying "at least now you know I'm genuine" I said, what do you mean he replied "that I'm not going to murder you" now that was odd, we had never ever had any convo about me thinking he would murder me. 😐😕😕
