Will anyone else miss being pregnant?
I can't wait to meet my baby and hold them in my arms but a part of me will also miss being pregnant. This is my 5th baby, I know it's my last so I'll miss the knowing smiles from other pregnant mothers I pass in the street, the extra care you get from people opening doors and being careful around you. I'll miss the Braxton hicks that take my breath away and the kicks and twists that sometimes hurt. I'll miss going to the loo in the middle of the night and writing lists in my head about what I still need or might have forgotten.
I can't wait to hold my my baby in my arms, I can't wait to find out if it's a boy or a girl who will be joining our big noisy family and to breastfeed again but a part of me will miss being pregnant too. I'm nearly ready for the birth but I know I'll miss my bump and the miracle growing inside me. Am I the only one who feels this way?
