can you b admitted into a psych ward without a parent ? Im 17 years old & I can't go on like this I hide so much pain on a daily basis I feel myself slipping up .

If you are feeling like harming yourself or using drugs whatever it is they won't refuse you... If you are wanting to go in yourself just explain to the people what is going on and they should give you some help.. I've never done that but I know they won't turn someone away if there is a chance they will harm themselves or others.

Yes, you can admit yourself. It does stay on your hospital record, though and can effect you later throughout life

I would go to the ER asap and they will take it from there, be honest with them about how you're feeling...they will then transfer you to a psych hospital when a bed is made available somewhere. At 17 they more than likely don't need your parents BUT from experience (I went when I was 17) you will need a lot of support whenever you get out of there, so maybe telling your parents before or when you're there would be helpful! Up to you best of luck lady! Never be afraid to ask for help, I've gone in a few times myself and it was very helpful💜 also just so you're aware there are two times a year when people are more likely to need hospitalization, Sad September and March Madness.

You can call 911 or go to the ER if it's a serious emergency that cannot wait any longer or seeing your family doc will give you answers you're seeking

I harmed myself and needed stitches. They thought I was trying to kill myself. They were definitely going to keep me somewhere not sure where but they didn't because my nana convinced them she was going to keep a strict eye on me. 
Probably was the ward.

I'm not sure if it's dependent upon the state but you should just go to the closest ER and tell them what's going on and they'll be able to have a psychiatrist or psychiatry resident evaluate you so you can get some help.
