My kid must be extra chunky, she will nurse and then eat a bowl of her veggies with rice and usually ask for more so i just nurse her right after too. She is now getting cereal with fruit during the day and rice and a veggie at night, and constantly nursing throughout the day! They just asked me at her daycare if they could start to give her another fruit around lunch time because her 6 oz bottles don't seem to hold her over as long anymore!!

I make his food and then freeze it in ice cube trays, so he eats twice a day, 2 cubes for breakfast (fruit) and 2 for dinner (veggie). He has been on solids since 4 months, I started only once a day the first month.

I've been giving solids around dinner time. (Typically 6 or 7pm) And he just started having 1 container of the gerber veggies or fruit. 
Before this week he was only having 1/2 of a container per feeding. 
I started him on solids at 5 months. (He will be 6 months on the 12th).

We just started solids at around 5 months and I try to do 2solids a day. One at around noon (lunch time) and then one at dinner time about an hour before bed (oatmeal cereal mixed with breastmilk). As far as the amount for solids.... I really just put 1/4 or 1/3 of the container in the bowl, heat it a little so it is a little warmer than room temperature and then feed it to him. Usually he lets me know when he is done eating - refuses to take spoon.hope this helps somewhat! Also,I do not use the dolids as a meal replacement, he will usually still want to nurse 30 minutes or so after.

My daughter only gets a jar/container of pureé a day and its around lunch time after she has had a 4oz bottle first. We have focused on getting her to try a variety of foods instead of the amount that we give her (she does finish the whole container)
