Comfortable much?

I was at a friend's house enjoying a housewarming party. When my friend decided to unhook her bra, lift her shirt and breastfeed. You could tell everyone was uncomfortable as the room went silent. I mean whole DD boob out and baby took a few seconds to latch and everything. What made it awkward was her brother, her dad and his friends and father in law where all right there. 
QUESTION: I am wondering how many women breastfeed in front of their brother, father, father in law, etc without a cover and feel completely comfortable?

I am all for breastfeeding. But no one NEEDS to watch me do it. Esp in front of any male besides my husband!! I nurse before I leave my home, express my breastmilk into a bottle for outings and excuse myself when I am in the company of others to nurse my dd. For those who say, "little is exposed if you're doing it right." how? I am genuinely curious. I have huge boobs. Even if my lo is sucking on just my nipple, I'd still have DD-F sized boobs and  huge areolas exposed.

Yeah, I cover up if I'm in mixed company or go to a different room. Mostly because I don't want my father-in-law or my friend's husbands to see my breasts. I am a HUGE fan of breastfeeding (breastfed both my kids for 17 months and plan to do the same with this next one) but I'm also pretty modest with my body and I don't care that it's natural or normal to breastfeed, I personally don't feel comfortable exposing myself in mixed company. Heck, I even cover around my girlfriends. No one needs to see my boobs!

I would use a cover in a large/mixed group because I feel that's the appropriate thing to do. Same reason I wear clothes that cover me decently when I'm among company.

I'm only 16 and breastfeeding always seemed weird to me. After I had my baby it really wasn't. I would never breast feed in front of my brother and his friends tho. Most people in my family who see me breast feed have seen my vagina. And I've always looked at it like I'm gonna feed my baby and if you feel uncomfortable then you can leave. I'm not gonna leave a room because one or two people might feel weird. I honestly respect your opinion tho. Everybody is different when it's comes to breast feeding.

I honestly think it's just a personal preference at this point. Personally I wouldn't feel comfortable whipping out my DD sized boob and plopping my lo onto it without a cover up but that's just me. I have no right to tell a woman not to feed her child. Each to their own, but me personally, I wouldn't do it.

My SIL feeds her baby wherever,  whenever. It's never bothered me at all.  I don't really understand why seeing a bit of boob is such a trauma for some people or why they are unable to look elsewhere to avoid seeing what they'd prefer not to.

My first I felt more awkward feeding in front of anyone even with a cover. This baby , not so much. I have huge boobs too G and big areolas as well. I wear and undershirt . I pull up my shirt and pull down my undershirt . when baby is latched on babys head covers anything that isn't covered. I pulled up my undershirt and down my shirt so my boob is covered and the only thing that isn't is what baby is latched on to. So much easier than using a cover. And if people are uncomfortable they can step away Thats fine. 9 times out of 10 people don't even know I'm breastfeeding it looks like I'm just holding baby. They usually walk up to see baby and i inform them I'm feeding. It takes practice that's for sure but it is possible no matter your size

My SO family ALL breast feed in front of who ever. I'm not against it. I just feel uncomfortable. Especially the thought that my SO is seeing his brothers wife's boobs lmao 😂 I don't and probably never would breast feed in front of people except my SO or mom or sister in laws. But everyone is different. I always feel uncomfortable for myself to be in the room with full on exposed breast feeding. I understand it's natural but no thanks.. 😂

I'm not comfortable wearing a low cut top so having a breast hang out as I nursed is probably out of the question. It would make me uncomfortable, personally.

Oh god I would never do it in front of friends husbands or any men for that matter. I'm not going to make everyone feel uncomfortable and I wouldn't like it either.

my whole family and friends who have babies have always gone into a private bedroom or used a bottle.
