Leaving my baby too soon?

There's this 2 day concert in October that my SO is begging to go to. At that point, our baby will be almost 2 1/2 months old. I told him no. Part of me wants to go and get away for a few days, but the other part of me says hell no, I can't leave my baby girl! I can't stand the thought of her missing me. What do you guys think? How long did you wait to leave your baby?

My daughter was technically 5 months old at the time. But she barely got home from the hospital 2 months prior. I went on a 7 day cruise. It was booked a year before and I didn't realize my daughter would've barely been out of the hospital at 3 1/2 months of age. It was my graduation present from my grandparents for graduating early.

(I'd like to add she was on medical equipment. So it wasn't like leaving a little baby. She had 2 IVs and a feeding tube surgically placed in her stomach)

It wasn't too bad and when I got home I was relieved. But 2 days is short and it might actually be nice get away for y'all to have a little break.

Do what you feel comfortable. I have only left my 6m old for a couple hours at most so far.

My friend spent her first night away from her baby at 2 weeks. It depends on you. I don't think there is a "too soon". Just do what makes you comfortable. Honestly baby will be just fine without you, as long as someone is.feeding her and changing her.

The first time my husband and I went away for the night and left our son with his grandparents he was six months old. It was our anniversary and we hadn't been out alone much at all since having our son so we decided to have a little weekend getaway. If our anniversary had been sooner and our son a little younger we may still have gone, I don't know - I think as long as you have someone you feel safe and comfortable leaving your baby with its fine. But I can't lie, all my husband and I did was talk about how much we missed him and wondered how he was doing, lol! He's four years old now so on the rare occasion we go away for a night it's a whole different story lol!

My kids were in school before they didn't a night without me. My dd is going to be 8 in a few days and just went to her first sleepover that wasn't grandma. I just don't want my kids being away too soon. Day trips are fine. My babies were nursed so it wasn't even an option til they were on solids.

Left my son for the first time overnight at 6 months, but probably would've felt comfortable at 5.5. That's just me though. I had terrible post partum anxiety so I would've been a mess but that's just me personally. I think 1 night is doable and easy but 2 might be a little much so soon. Also depends who you will leave baby with. That's a huge thing!

Its definetly a personal decision and theres no right or wrong answer its how comfortable you feel leaving your little one.
My son the first time he went over night at his grandparents was at 6 weeks. Longest I have been away from him was 2 nights and that was when he was about 6 or 7 months.

This time my friends hen do is in June and I am due start of April and we are going away for 4 nights! I think cos its my second I am a lot more relaxed and I know he/she will be in safe hands xx

I left my first daughter alone for the whole night (overnight) for the first time when i went to the hospital to give birth to her sister a month ago! She is almost 3. We have left her with my mom for a night out, and for the day, but never overnight or for a few nights. I just don't see why it's necessary and I wouldn't even feel comfortable with it. Not saying that you should never go out again, and I know lots of people take vacations without their kids (my sister in law and her husband left their 9 month old for 10 days and went to Brazil) and stuff but it's not for me. My little one is almost a month and I'm not even ready to leave her for the evening with my mom! My husband wants to go to a concert next week and I'm staying home. She's breastfed and I'm just not ready to leave her for 5-6 hours yet. Can't imagine leaving her for 2 days.
