Will a doctor induce a VBAC rather than schedule a c-section?

My Dr said he won't 'let' me go past 39 weeks without induction but I will decline that. Uterine rupture is 3x more likely with induction that going over 40 weeks with a vbac. Those numbers are still low (12 and 4%respectively) but there's no medical reason to mess with it at that point.

Doctor told me if I did a VBAC she wouldn't induce till after 40 weeks or if the baby decided to come early she'd wait to see if I had any progression in dilation to let me have one. I chose the c-section in my situation because my doctor is worried, but I can change my mind if I'd like.
