is this the start of labor?

Period like cramps? I feel like I have to poop often but when I go, not much comes out.. TMI SORRY! These cramps have been just like menstrual cramps and have mainly started on my hips then moving forward.. They last awhile longer than 30 seconds.  But they aren't regular. And the pain doesn't seem to get worse but the pain level remains the same throughout. I know once labor actually kicks in, I will know for sure but is this a possible start? I'm dilated to 1cm as checked last Tuesday and very soft cervix. I'm super impatient to meet my little one. 37&3 today
