Do you give your child a pacifier?

Just curious as to how many parents do and don't give their child pacifiers. 🤔

Nope, there is no need to put a cork in my baby

I do its a great soother for him sometimes and I don't want him sucking on his fingers. I say if they like I it I love it

Yes because she had to have one to help her in the NICU and now sometimes that's all she wants. And it prevents the horrible habit of thumb sucking that my whole family has struggled with.

They decrease the risk of SIDS.

Sucking is a way babies soothe, they start doing it in the womb - it's a reflex. So yes my baby will have a pacifier and hopefully use that and not her thumb!

With my daughter I did and then at 6mo she stopped taking it completely on her own.

My daughter doesn't do the pacifier but she does suck her thumb she has since she was born but she never liked the pacifiers.
