Inducing questuons?!?!

Question

So am I just going to go from 0-100 once I start pitocin? I know I may get a pill which I forgot the name of tonight to soften my cervix.. do you usually start having contractions after that sometimes?? I know everyone is different!! But how soon did your contractions start after you got induced and how long did it take to deliver??

Depends. My first child I went in at 7pm. Did 3 rounds of the cervadil over night. Water broke naturally at 8:00am. Contractions started shortly after. I was 3 cm dilated. Started pitocin By 7:58pm my first son was here.

Second pregnancy I was 39 weeks, 75% effaced 3.5 dilated when I went in to start my induction. I arrived at 2:00. Started pitocin around 4:00pm wasn't having painful contractions but I was able to feel my abdomen  tighten. I had no need to do the cervadil since I was already dilated. They broke my water at 6:00 pm then rhe contractions hit like a truck. Epidural at 6:20 was 4 dilated. 6:50-7:00 pm I felt like I needed to make a BM but epidural wasn't working so they called my CRNA to come increase my dose. Checked me to see why I already had the urge to poop. In 2 contractions I went from 4cm to fully dilated. Had my second son with only 3 pushes.

Each induction is different. All depends on your body and your baby. Go in open minded.

I was induced at 8pm starting with the pill Cytotec. Started having contractions by 10pm. Pitocin started at 8:45am. Baby born at 7:35pm! It was a wild 24 hours!!

For me they gave me the pills to soften my cervix it didn't do much but make me cramp then started pitocin in the morning around 9 and had my little girl at 5:30 in the evening

But For my sister with her first the pills threw her into her own labor
