what kind of formula do wic give u

hey everyone I was wondering do anyone know what kind of formula wic give u ... I was told Many things I was told Similac but when I when to the grocery story cashier said wic is changing over to Enfamil.. I am just wondering cause I will more likely formula feed ..  anyone have any idea and btw I'm in ohio

How much formula does wic provide per week? I'm new to wic and know nothing. And what about the dollar amount for food per week? Any information is helpful. I have to call them.

I'm pretty sure everywhere it's similac unless you have a doctors note stating other formula is needed.

Not sure what they are giving at the moment in my state, but WIC can change formula once a year based on contracts. I worked in a grocery store for years and people would act like their child would die if the had to switch formula. I have seen wic use Similiac, enfamil and Gerber Good Start.

If needed, you can get a prescription to change formula, but really most babies won't need it.

Where I live, you get 9 cans of powdered formula or 39 cans of liquid. If you run low because your baby eats more, they do not give out more vouchers, so you will need to pay out of pocket.

I know in New York they give enfamil but I saw in the wic office if the child needs soy milk they give gerber

It depends on what the doctors put your baby on.....im in michigan, some people get enfamil and some people get similac

Nearly 7 years ago WIC gave Enfamil ( in Florida) my daughter didn't do well with it, so I got a note from her doctor to take to WIC and they allowed the switch to Similac Advance.

I'm in Maine, but when my son had to switch to formula at 9 month they gave me Enfamil. But my friend who just signed up for the same wic in my area, said they were switching to Similac. 
Maybe the do either depends on baby ??

It depends on the state , my state gives out similac so I never used wic as my kids took enfamil.

I think Ohio is Similac. Not 100% cuz I'm not on wic but i think thats what ive heard
