Has anyone just gave up and let your so choose baby's name?

Honestly I am getting absolutely nowhere in trying to change his mind. He wants Elijah and that's that. I don't hate the name, just not very keen on it. I've said all of the names I like and he doesn't like them. I've ran out of names and I want to decide on a name so I'm thinking of just giving in and letting him name his son. Will I regret doing this? Should I keep trying to get him to agree on a name we both love? Ugh why is baby naming so hard 😂

Here's my personal opinion:

It takes two to tango; you both created the baby, not just your husband. YOU are the one carrying the baby, which means YOUR body is the one going through crazy changes for 9 months and YOU are the one who is going to have to push that baby out eventually. My point is, your husband needs to be willing to compromise. Even if the name Elijah is used as a first or middle name, the baby is yours too and you should be able to pick part of the name too. My husband tried doing the same thing and I hated the name he picked (Ezekiel) so I kept searching for names and finally decided on one that I've always loved (Camden) and I let him pick the middle name, he chose John, in memory of his father who passed away 10, almost 11, years ago. It's all about compromising!

We went through like a hundred names before we found one we both liked. I would not want my child named anything I'm not %100 happy with. It's a big commitment!!!

Haha yes. My husband was the same way, hated every suggestion I made. He picked the first name (because it was the only one he liked) and I chose her middle name. Shea Eliza it is.

let him pick the first name and you pick the middle. I have a nephew who goes by his middle name, and a neice who goes by her middle name. It's a common practice.

My husband has had a name picked out for a boy ever since I met him. He'll never change his mind, and he's chosen both first and middle names. We're having a girl this time around and we chose the name jointly. But I'm hoping if we have a boy next time I'll at least be allowed to add a second middle name of my choice. I think it's quite common for men to be protective over their sons name x

No way. That sounds so selfish of him! I'd have to agree on the name and like it too. 
You're the one carrying this child and going through labor. You should at least like the name too.

I'm not very far along but even before I got pregnant we were trying to come up with names. He gets to choose boy names and I get to choose girl names but we both have to love it. He loves my girl name aria rose but I wasn't so keen on his "conrad." But he was the same it was going to be conrad and that was that. I finally convinced him to pick another name. We are going with Caleb jace if it's a boy

I'm on my 3rd baby and I'm letting my husband pick out what ever name he wants, our second baby he kinda choose the name (I sent him a whole list of names and he picked the one he wanted) but I picked the middle name which was my husbands first name lol but now I'm letting it all be in my husbands hands so far the first name is awesome he just got to figure out middle name.

Do one you both love. Me and hubby picked our girl name together and I picked our boys name many years ago and didn't tell him for fear he didn't love it lol I knew it was supposed to be our sons name and didn't want him to change it. But he ended up loving it.
