preeclampsia at 17 weeks

My doc put me on methyldopa for the high blood pressure and told me to take it easy so I have been but the medicine isnt helping my blood pressure. Has anybody had this problem with the meds not working? If so what did they do next? She mentioned something about baby having to be delivered at 25 weeks if my blood pressure is still high but I don't want that to happen.
