stop keeping me a secret or I'm done?

Question

I've officially been with a guy for 7 months. We have a 12 year age gap. 
He's separated from his wife, - has been for nearly 3 years. They have a very amicable relationship as they have a child. 
I also have a child.

He told me of a girlfriend he had, and strangely enough She works in same company I recently started with. 
She's set to be married and due a baby.

My other half has told me all about her and how he used to send her flowers to work, but expensive jewellery, stay in hotels a few times a month and she met his family/friends. He said she broke his heart could understand the relationship between him and his son. Yet everyone at work praises how amazing she is with children and how much she loves them.

I found out they got together a week after he split from his wife. - by fluke, they met at a function and hit it off.

7 months on with us and I've never met any of his family, friends and they don't know about me..

Am I wrong to feel inferior and hurt?

It's not about the money at all!  but why tell me all these lovely things you did for her yet not for me?

I feel maybe we aren't as serious as he says we are? I don't deserve it or I'm not good enough?

Am I wrong to give him an ultimatum? Stop keeping me a secret or I'm done?

I'd be less worried about what he did for her than about being hidden from his family and friends. Now that's an issue. Good for you for handling the situation. You did the right thing.

Maybe he's scared of getting his heart broke again? Reassure him that you aren't going to do that, make it known that you are in it with him no matter what.

You deserve more ! He needs to consider your feelings it's not all about him! I think it's odd and his giving you excuses I'd be getting down to the bottom of it or moving on to some one who will be proud to call you theirs! Good luck

I'm in your shoes. I've been with my SO for 16 months. There is a 14 year age gap. I haven't met his family at all. I haven't met his kids either. It's super hard but you'll have to be patient. My SO is protecting his kids against heart ache if me and him ever broke up. I understand that. He doesn't want me to meet his mother as she is a rich-bitch that has insulted all of his ex partners. I'm as frustrated as you, but I'd give it more time. Good Luck 🙂
