Help please?

I took this test at almost 5 am today went to the Dr at 10 am and the one there came back negative and he wouldn't give me any more information except suggest I retest in 10 to 14 days and act as though I'm pregnant that my levels could have just been higher in the morning when I took it. Nothing I Google is giving much information as to why this happens. Could someone please explain? My heart broke when the Dr told me it was negative after getting so excited for a finally positive at home test.

In very early pregnancy your HCG level in your urine is usually low. If you test with FMU you have a much higher level of HCG as when you test just 2 hours later. That's it. Please be patient. Retest in 1 week. When is your AF due? Usually often women gets a neg. test result at the doc if they're under 5 weeks pregnant.

The HCG(human chorionic gonadotropin) levels, which come from the fetus/baby, are more concentrated in the mornings- your bladder has been slowly filling all night & you've not diluted its contents by drinking. That's why tests are more accurate in the morning when you first empty your bladder. This is especially true early in pregnancy. As the fetus/baby grows, the HCG levels increase. That's why doc said to wait a week to retest. You'll get stronger results in a week if you are +. I used to do lots of 1st trimester ultrasounds- the first thing we like to check is HCG blood levels- it allows us to date a pregnancy(rough estimate)- or in some cases rule out pregnancy altogether. Wait a week- and test in the AM.
