I started my period on September 10th and I started taking my birth control that day. So I took an active pill the 10th and then the next few days up until now I been taking the colored ones. Am I safe to have unprotected sex yet or is it only when I been taking the active pills? I've never been on the pill so I'm a little confused! My Dr also never explained how they work, she just gave them to me after I had my Mirena removed.
