5w5dprego - first ultrasound?

Question

Is it too early to have it? My gyn suggested this as I'll have a business week abroad next week and he wants to make sure all is fine. I' m 35. What do you think?

These are my abdominal ultrasounds at 5w6d with my daughter and son. Just remember that your dates could be off, so if you don't see anything, don't panic. We couldn't hear a heartbeat at either of these ultrasounds either because baby is so small.

We did have a vaginal ultrasound done around the end of four weeks or beginning of five weeks with my daughter and all we saw was two tiny little sacs (twins!), not even the baby.

My ob doesn't do the first ultrasound until 7 or 8 weeks but they did a blood test earlier to confirm the pregnancy

You won't be able to see anything and I doubt even hear a heartbeat. My doctor said you usually don't until week 7!

I made a scan yesterday at 4 weeks but they couldn't see anything,they said its way too early,I don't know at 5 weeks

Update: I made it. We've seen crumble and heard it's little heart beat. Doc said the heart beat is a little low, so best to come back in 7-8d. If still low he can give some hormones etc to support. So no regrets I went...

Hmmm, on the other hand my hsg was around 19.000 and that's awsome. So I should have confidence all is good and just skip for now...
