Experience with cervical cancer ??

I am 30 years old . I have two small children. Recently I have had two abnormal paps that have stated atypical glandular cells. I am having a second colposcopy this Monday . I have read many things online says this is very worrisome and there's a good chance of adenocarcinoma of the cervix. I also was diagnosed with hpv 18 on one pap in jan of this year. then the latest tested negative after pregnancy. I am 8 weeks postpartum. My first pap that said abnormal cells was when I was 3 months pregnant .. Second was 6 weeks pp. anyone that has a similar experiences it's the atypical glandular cells and cancer  have any insight .

Hi what needed up happening. I am in the same position as you and want to know what the outcome was for you. I am scared that I won’t be able to have kids ones day. Thankfully I have two and just had one but I’d like more and not like that option to be taken away from me totally.

I just had my LEEP procedure yesterday. I had my pap smear last month on 9/18 and had abnormal cells that tested positive for HPV 16, diagnosis endocervical adenocarcinoma in SITU. I had my biopsy on 9/25 and had the procedure scheduled immediately. I am 42, never had an abnormal pap smear and am the mom to 2 1/2 yr old twins girls. I wasn't supposed to have another pap smear until Dec and since I also have fibroids I wanted to get them checked b/c I have been spotting in between my periods for the last few months. Thankfully I went in when I did b/c it could have been worse had I waited. The doctor told me he removed all the cells and b/c we caught it early enough we should be good. I am 37, 4 kids.

I was diagnosed with cervical cancer years ago after 2 abnormal paps. Giving birth to my daughter effectively did the surgery that removed it.

I had abnormal cells again 7 years later. It was pre-cancerous condition, stage one. I had a choice to monitor it or get it removed. Getting it removed is a 5 minute day surgery your gyno can perform in hospital.

When it's caught early, it's easy to treat. Cervical cancer is slow growing and stays limited to your cervix for a long time. I know one woman who had it for years before being diagnosed because she hated doctors, and she had her uterus surgically removed and was fine.

I'm scheduled for LEEP Thursday the 21 after having nearly 10 months of abnormal paps after having my 3rd child and several biopsies which eventually confirmed cervical cancer. Mine changed from low grade cells to high grade within 2 months then a month later, cancer.

I am 26 no children. I ended up with a Leep, 2 conizations of my cervix, myltiple in office scrapings, and an abdominal cerclage. (No children) We are going to start trying. I donr know where you are in all your testing, but I know it"s scary. I know it's not fair. And I know you question if it is a big deal. It is all of those things. However go to your appointments and if ever you are in need of someone to talk to/confide in I am here:) I am also a nurse so I csn look at it from both sides. Wishing you luck :)
