Spotting is pretty "normal" during early pregnancy. My doctor advised me to refrain from sex for 2 weeks (they changed it to 4 weeks at around 12 weeks) after the bleeding stopped. I also have a history of miscarriage... So be sure to talk to your doc about it!

Yes, spotting is common, especially during the first trimester. If you begin bleeding any heavier than spotting and you become concerned call your OB. Spotting is fine though, congratulations!
