How do you feel about marrying young?

I've always felt that marrying young wasn't such a big deal until I got engaged at 19 and then it hit me that I was actually doing adult things, actually living an adult life. What are you thoughts about being engaged/married at a young age? Pros and cons? Let's hear it!

Been with my husband since we were 14, had a baby and moved in together when we were 20, engaged at 20, and married at 21. I don't regret a second of it❤ People that get married young don't miss out, they are just lucky enough to spend that extra time with the love of their life. Sure it doesn't always work out, but that's true of a couple at any age!

I feel as if, marriage comes when you know you want to be w that someone forever.. people always think your life is over when you're married young, but you get to do everything what that person, right beside you. you get to experience life TOGETHER and grow more and more together.

I never thought about it till I started dating the man I am dating now... we are both young... both 17 but he is going into the navy and I am going to college and then med school... I want to marry him (in 2 years or so) so badly but I just don't see how it's possible... But I won't let him out of my life just for that reason... we will try to make it work

I got married at 18, and am now in the process of getting divorced. I think in general marrying young is a bad idea, but it isn't true for everyone. Personally, my SO and I got married for all the wrong reasons. I felt pressure from my family to stop "living in sin" and he didn't want to lose me. I was way too emotionally immature to be married, and I still have a lot to learn communication-wise. I also was not focusing enough on bettering myself and becoming my own person during my marriage. I was too reliant upon my marriage to define me. I still think my SO could be "the one" but I know that right now neither of us are ready to be married. Everyone's different though!

I feel like people constantly change and grow and if you're lucky to find someone who you want to grow with that's amazing, but this is a decision you should only make once, and you should be able to fully support yourselves. My boyfriend isn't allowed to propose until I have my bachelors, but we will be married by 25 (been together over 2 1/2 years, known eachother for 8)

I personally could never imagine myself marrying young (or possibly ever) but I'm not the settle down type of girl. Commitment makes me itch, especially before the age of like 25.
