Question about people holding a newborn.
Yesterday I went to a baby basic class and the doctor giving the class advised us that it's probably best if you only let grandparents hold the baby and to make sure they have their whooping cough shots.
I'm having my baby around Christmas and my husband and I live two hours away from family. Lord willing, we were planning to go over there for Christmas. I don't know how I'm going to be feeling so I'm not sure if I'm planning on going but that's the plan so far.
I know people are going to want to hold the baby. I don't know how I feel about it. A part of me wants to protect the baby but I know people are going to want to hold him and I don't know if want people passing him around.. I feel rude saying they can't.
What are your thoughts?
