Braxton hicks?

Has anyone around 15-16 weeks experienced Braxton Hicks? I've had cramps really bad on and off and I'm not sure what it is. This is my first pregnancy so I don't really know what to expect at all. My bf is pretty sure that's what they are. I'm kinda worried 😞

It's possible, but usually that's just caused by dehydration. I was always told to drink a big glass of water and lay down for a bit. Helped in the beginning (mine started around 20 weeks) but mine got SO intense nothing helped by the end, oh and those BH didn't make my cervix budge a bit 🙄

BH start as early as 6 weeks but normally women don't feel them until much later on. Personally, I started feeling mine around 20 weeks. My whole stomach would get rock hard; it was very uncomfortable! My doctor told me if I ever felt like the BH were happening frequently to sit down with a pen & paper and write down the time that they start, how long they last (I used the stopwatch on my phone), and what time they ended. She said if mine ever got under 5-8 min and were lasting 45 seconds or longer to call the on call doctor ASAP. It's always worth giving your doctor a call if you're worried, even if they're not happening that frequently! That's what the doctors are there for!
