8 weeks what type of scan is needed? help please ladies.

Question

Had a scan at 6 weeks ( transvaginal)with hospital and heart beat seen, almost 3 weeks later ...I've just been to have a scan privately for reassurance and no baby or yolk sak :( this was abdominal scan only. I'm so worried as had alittle bleeding a few weeks ago. Could it still be too early to see on abdominal scan? Help please xxx

Unless the equipment was terrible, something should've been seen. Give your doctor a call

In your initial scan, did you see your baby?  I'm assuming to get a heart beat you must've.  They should have still seen the baby at 8 weeks unless you've had heavy bleeding.  I don't mean this to sound insensitive, but I thought the only way for a baby to disappear is through a miscarriage (which is a lot of cramps and bleeding).  I read you have a tilted uterus, so there's a good chance it's the machine and/or tech.  
I'd be annoyed that at a private scan they didn't do transvaginal, you're paying money for that service.
Don't loose hope yet!  Let us know how it goes with the dr x

I had abdominal at 6w. Saw baby & heart beat but no sac. Getting a transvaginal on my next as ordered by doc. But it all depends on if your date is accurate and what location the baby is in your uterus.

I'd go to the doctor. They should've been able to see something no matter what, but probably would've done transvaginal go get measurements and the heartbeat rate. My first ultrasound was at 7 weeks and you could see the flickering heartbeat from the abdominal.
