evap lines or vfffl - but I'm spotting brown!

It's me again. I'm so mad. This HAS to be an evaporation line or something. I took picture immediately this time. "Line" showed up. But I'm still spotting brown. Like every other day for a week. Period is mon (according to glow) but if my cycle is 28 days then it would be Wednesday. According to iperiod app. I took yesterday and got a big "not pregnant". Again, spotting brown when I wipe. What gives?! I think I'm going to open a test and let my 4 year old tinkle in the cup to see if it does the same thing. Is that crazy?! I know I should just wait and test Monday... but I can't help myself. What do you think?
