lunch meat???

I'll be 9w on Wednesday. And lately I have been craving garlic bologna like no other and the thought of warming it up or frying it makes me sick. I love it cold. Like it's supposed to be when eatting it.. has anyone else eaten cold lunch meat with no problems? Or am I the only crazy one who cannot eat hot lunch meat??

I was so strick with lunch meat with my son but lunch meat is apart of my daily routine and it seems like cold sandwiches  are the only thing that don't make me sick honestly I'm almost 9 weeks and have had no problems. With my first I heated the meat and then let it cool because I couldn't stand it hot either.

Can you heat it up then put it in the fridge for later? You dont have to eat it hot, you just gotta heat it up to kill any listeria that might be in there

My doc says not to really worry about it - the risk is so so so so low, especially if you eat it just once or twice due to a craving. Makes sense if you think about it since listeria outbreaks are always random stuff like cantaloupes and frozen broccoli and stuff anyway and they don't tell you to avoid all that stuff... But that's my doc!

Make sure you heat it too steaming, let cool down, then refrigerate.

Not sure how that or if effects the listeria. Good luck! I love lunch meat too!! Cold cuts!

My doc said that poultry lunch meats need to be microwaved for a few seconds to kill the bacteria but things like bologna were fine as is.  Check with your doc and see what they say. Good luck!

You should heat meat to kill bacteria and then keep it in the fridge and not for long for it to be safe
