smell???

i'm 13 years old, and my vagina has kinda smelled bad for as long as i can remember. Like if i went pee or opened my legs, even as a little girl, it would smell a little bad. it gets a lot worse when i'm on my period. i'd rather not discuss this with my dad & he's the only family i have besides my older brother. please help!!💗

Try to stay hydrated, don't wear tight panties/don't wear the same ones for too long and eat more greens/fruits. Junk food or not so healthy food has a lot to do with how it smells. I used to have the same problem until I asked my doctor and told me those things^. If you are already doing all of that then try a vaginal soap, but that normally throws off your ph balance. Drink a lot of water and eat yogurt. Shower everyday. Soak in a bath at least once a week. Whatever you wash vagina with keep using same thing. Don't use different soaps down there (I suggest summer's eve feminine wash). Wear panty liners so that sweat and moisture doesnt stay on you all day. change it EVERY TIME you use bathroom. They come in small size so you can keep in pocket or purse. Good luck :-)

I love with my dad and honestly your dad knows more about females than you think. He at one point was married and has learned all about the vagina, don't be afraid to ask to maybe go to your pediatrician or A gynecologist. Or when you guys grocery shop go with him and get some summers eve vagina soap your pH ballence might be off but make sure that when your in the shower you clean your vagina good I was the front of mine and rinse the rest with water it lessens any chance of irritation and keeps you fresh. Also if you sweat a lot that could be an issue too. The gynecologist might be a bit intimidating to maybe you should try a pediatrician first preferably a female! Best of luck :)

Try not to wear underwear that is super tight. When you can try to go for cotton underwear (which is breathable), over synthetic materials.
You can also make sure that you are staying hydrated and that you have a proper diet

your vagina naturally cleans itself, water is the only thing you should be cleaning it with, and usually they smell a little bit anyway. but if you think it's bad, clean it more often with water or ask your doctor to check and make sure it's all fine down there love.

Try to wash your vag with body soap and it's normal for period. On your period you need to watch down there as long as with your body everyday.
