help? It might be infected?

Okay so I was changing my barbells (got them done last Wednesday but I got too short of a barbell put in so I decided to change them, anyway when I pushed it through a little bit of white stuff was on the end of the barbell? It felt like pus, but the nipple is fine and not inflamed (right nipple, left is fine) is it infected? Usually when I change the barbells (I had my belly button pierced) it never did this. Maybe the white stuff is like white blood cells or something ? I don't know what to do!!
