I think he is nervous to ttc again

So 2 years ago me and my husband fell pregnant and we were both excited, that ended three days later when my body decided to miscarry. We decided to wait until after our wedding to try again. I told him I would start ovulating in the next few days and then during sex today he pulled out? I go you know thats not how you get pregnant right? He kept saying oh I forgot and he apologized, then later on in the day a baby walked by us and he goes aw I want one.. he is sending me mixed messages, do you think he really "forgot" or is a little nervous? He finished in me 2 days ago but when I told him its now show time he didnt do it?? Advice please.
