Exercise ball pain

I've noticed when I sit on the exercise ball for awhile (like 20 minutes) it starts to make my lower back and hips hurt and when I get off of it my pubic bone hurts so bad I cant walk with being in a lot of pain. Baby hasn't dropped into my pelvis yet. I thought sitting on the exercise ball was supposed to relieve back pressure and pain. What's the deal?
