IUI ???

Question

So we went to our fertility specialist on base this week (second time seeing her). She is now sending us to another specialist off base to talk about "Artificial Insemination". Any of you ladies go through that?? If so any advice or what they do?? The cost?? How long it takes??

I had an IUI, 80% of the cost was covered by our insurance. I was on Letrozole, you are monitored about every 2 days, via ultrasounds. They are looking for how many eggs you have and their sizes. You will also get a blood draw at those appointment also. I ended up surfing on my own, they told us to come in the next day and my fiancé gave him Jos "sample" and was told to come back a few hours later... fast forwards the IUI itself was literally like 2 minutes. 
Then you sit there for 10 just laying on the table. Then your done!!
Such an easy process compared to all the pre testing. I am now 9 weeks from my first IUI!

Did it work ? I was sent off base and tricare covers everything except the actual iui, it’s like 254.00. My first two didn’t work and now I’m doing my third one tomorrow morning . We have unexplained infertility, everything is great paperwork wise with both of us . Hsg showed everything open and working , his count and numbers are above great . So frustrating !

Just went through it and it gave me hope I could get pregnant.  Such a simple and inexpensive treatment
