Bleeding after using the Bathroom

This morning I went to the bathroom to have a bowel movement and when I wiped I started bleeding. It did not last long, but I called my Dr. Office and they just told me to just watch after it. Has this happened to anyone? Hours later I have mild cramping and quick sharp pains on my right side of my stomach. Trying not to freak out! Saw the baby 5 days ago, and everything was fine. I'm 12 weeks and 6 days.
