my boyfriend who just asked me out a few weeks ago told me that he was a diagnosed sex addict. he used to go to therapy for it, but he stopped after a while. i'm wondering if anyone else knows anything about this topic???

As long as he doesn't do it in his sleep then you guys should be fine. If he has trouble controlling himself because of it then he should go to therapy again. I don't know a whole lot but i assume there are different degrees of his condition- ranging from he wants sex all the time to he WILL get sex if he wants it. If he starts threatening you or tries to force you into anything, then you have a definite problem and so does he. Ask him about his condition and see how that will affect the two of you
