could I have twins if it only runs on fiancés side?

Anyone can have twins. It's just a higher chance if it runs on your moms side along with other factors.

Your side of the family unless your egg happens to split. Twins run on my side of the family (mothers side) and 2 out of 3 of my pregnancies I had 2 sacs but only 1 baby. I either released 2 eggs or one split. My sister just had fraternal twin boys.

It's not hereditary if only on his side but you don't have have twins on your side to have twins.  You just have a higher chance if you do (and it's only true for fraternal twins not identicals)

My 1st pregnancy was with twins. 
I have ZERO background of twins on my side of the family.
My fiance ONLY has ONE person as far back as we know that has gotten pregnant with twins, on his side (his grandma).
IDK if it was luck, or inherited by his grandmother... but it happened. 
Never would've guessed... but now ONLY me amd his grandmother have had twins on either side of our families..
