3rd Trimester weight loss/no gain?!

Question

So I'll be 30 weeks tomorrow, and I didn't think it was possible, but as of today I've lost 2 pounds since my last appointment (2 weeks ago).. I thought It was strange. Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm a small build to begin with (5'7" currently 148lbs (135-138 pre pregnancy)) I was recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes, so maybe that's part of it?

I go in next week for an ultrasound, but my dr is out of town this week, so I can't call to see if it's normal.. And well.. Google.. Ha I don't really trust the internet.

Well it's not too bad plus you're tiny....I'm 26 weeks and I've gained4 lbs so far and it fluctuates so I eat before going to the doc bc she yells at me about gaining. I'm hoping to gain 15-20 by term....My last pregnancy I gained maybe 8lbs so I think everyone is different. As long as baby is measuring ok I'd say you're fine.

I had a friend who was also diagnosed with gestational diabetes and she had her baby a little early and he was low birth weight for his gestational age. So it definitely could be the gestational diabetes. Gestational diabetes doesn't always = big babies. All the best!

It could be the diet that you're on for the gestational diabetes. I have it and I've lost roughly the same amount as you just from being a little more conscious of what I'm eating.
