Share your First period stories

Mine was when I was 12 I'm 16 now and I was on vacation with my older brother who was 15 than and 19 now. We were camping by ourselves. We didn't bring our phones because our parents challenged us to unplug. We had nothing except sleeping bags and fishing rods. We were supposed to be on vacation for 3 weeks. On the 7th day I got my period for the first time and I was with my brother with no supplies. I knew exactly what it was so I wasn't scared but I had no idea what to do.  I tried to tough it out for the night. I woke up in a blood soaked sleeping bag. I told my brother and he started freaking out. He didn't know what to do so he tried to make me a pad out of leaves. That didn't work so he tore off a piece of sleeping bag and it worked for about 10 minutes until it filled up. He decided to walk to the nearest place with people and ask every girl in sight for a tampon or pad. He got 2 tampons. For 2 weeks. We went to the nearest place with people everyday for 2 whole weeks. It was horrible.
