Normal cycles with abnormal bleeding?

I have seen 2 OBGYNs in the past year, and I didn't like either of their medical advice. I liked them as people; they were nice. But after talking to people, I feel like I should see someone else. 
 
Here's my story:
 
I have been off the pill for 2 years this November. My husband and I have been TTC unsuccessfully since February. I have 28 days cycles. 
 
Sounds normal so far, right?
 
Well... I start spotting 2-7 days after ovulation. For 5-7 days. Then I immediately start my period. Which lasts for 7-8 days. I bleed for an absolute minimum of 13 days each month of a 28 day cycle. And 2 OBGYNs showed no concern and wouldn't do testing.

Hmm... I have a similar story. I've been off the pill for almost a year. I have ovulation spotting every single month. I have a 35 day cycle. And it's always around day 21-22 I spot for about 3 days. Well back in July I was scheduled for my period around Aug 1st... Well, I started what i thought was my period July 25. But I only bled for 2 days, and Aug 14 I started bleeding and bled for 15 days. And then started bleeding  again sept 11. So I called the doctor, got in and she told me I either had a early miscarriage or I didn't ovulate that month. I know when I ovulate... So I go back in 2 months and I'm getting tested to see if I ovulate. But ovulation spotting is common, but unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it. It's just our bodies and how they react to things. What do the doctors say about your bleeding?
