Is twerking for POC only?

Every time I have a girls night out, I go dancing and sometimes we will 'twerk'. Not saying I'm any good at it, but I see people of all color do this at the club, and sometimes together even. With that said, I've actually seen people on CC way back, twitter, and other forms of social media say that it isn't okay for a white woman to twerk.. or that she can't or be good at it. They say it's a form of appropriation. Thoughts?

Honestly, white women twerking irritates my soul. When black women do it, we're ghetto/ratchet/nasty even though it's a dance very similar to traditional dances in predominantly black cultures, but when white women do it, they're just having fun and it's perfectly ok and "yaaaassss girl wweeeeeerrrrrrrqqqqq this is the best version of twerking ever! They killed it!" Fuck that.

😔 in the club it's dark and most ppl are drunk.. jiggling ass is all the same color under those circumstances 😂 personally idc. Tribal traditions tend to be more spiritual and less specific rump shaking so those ppl yelling about appropriation are probably on a power trip because they bought a Dashika at a cheap a hair store and felt closer to their "roots" 😂 Do you sweets👌🍑💦
