struggling sexually with my new partner?

Okay so me and my boyfriend have only been together a month, and had sex a handful of times but quite a bit of foreplay. Anyway, I'm struggling to please him. I've never had this problem before but suddenly it's life I'm a virgin again and don't know what I'm doing. Today we stopped half way through me sucking him off because I was terrible at it, and he made a comment about how we might just have to have a sexless relationship. Now I'm upset, hurt and ashamed and considering just splitting up with him so he can find somebody he's more sexually compatible with. We've grown really close though and neither of us want to split up over this. What can I do?
