Do you have your baby's crib in the room with you?

Question

We have a 3 bedroom home, and this is our first baby. So we have plenty of room for a nursery. I am going to decorate and keep all his clothes in the nursery, but for the first few months or so I would like to keep him in the master bedroom with us. We have plenty of room for the crib. I want to use the crib so we don't have to do a big transition from a bassinet or our bed. Anyone else done this? Thanks!

I had my baby's crib in the room with me until he was 4 months but then we moved into a 2 bedroom and he got his own room. I suggest leaving the baby in room with you for a little while until you're comfortable. I felt so much safer with him just a few feet away and it was easier to not have to get up and walk across the house to get him

Our 4 week old has his bedroom all decorated and ready to go, but his cot is in our room and we plan to have him with us for a minimum of 6 months. Hopefully longer.

We have him in a pack n play in our room. We had him in a bassinet until about a month and for the past week and a half the pack n play. Transition from the bassinet to the pack n play was fine.

My LO is 14 weeks old and sleeps in a bassinet on our bed. He has almost outgrown it though and we're trying to figure out the next step.

All three of my babes stayed in a cradle by our bed until about 5 months. By then they were sleeping better through the night which made the transition into a crib in their own room pretty seamless.

My daughter slept with me for the first 8 months, then I transitioned her to the crib because she turns into a little ninja in her sleep and I don't enjoy being beat up. Haha. The into time she has trouble sleeping in it is when she's cutting a tooth, and she has trouble sleeping at all when that happens.

My LO is in a pack n play (the cradle didn't take) in our room until around 6 months, when she'll go into the crib in her room. She sometimes naps in the crib during the day right now. I was told that room sharing for the first 6 months decreases the risk of SIDS.

We have a pack n play, but early in the mornings after his first change and feed we put him in bed with us.

My 16 week old still sleeps in her bassinet on my side of the bed. Once she transitions to the cot I will move the room around so she is still next to me. Not only is it really convenient for night feeds, I just don't like the idea of her not sleeping next to me right now.
