Possible baby names?

So I come from a traditional Irish family but I was born and live in the states. I've been thinking of baby names and I want to stay traditional but many people have told me that it wouldn't make sense to most and that people might pick on them for their names.

Should I stay traditional or pick more accepted "American names"?

Who cares if it's not "American", it's a multicultural place. Name your kids whatever you want to name them.

Maybe pick madness that are traditional but easy for Americans to pronounce.
For instance my friend has 2 daughter's, Saroise (pronounced seer -sha) which is pretty but difficult for us north Americans to read/pronounce. Her second daughter is Aine (Onya) slightly easier.... But a close friend of mine is Eimear (sounds just like it looks) so Eimear would be an easy name for a little girl to grow up in North America with. I am sure there are lots of names that would be easy for Americans to pronounce and traditional.
Having said that, it's your baby, name them what you want. But if your concern is the cross-cultural thing then maybe consider the pronunciation thing.

Lots of Irish names are really popular American names right now! Go for it! Although have you seen that show catastrophe? They name their baby Muireann and none of the American family can pronounce it lol.
