Husband and the baby registry

Our showers are in a month and I need to do the registry. He has already had two kids and I'd really like his input on things like (high chair, car seats, swings and everything else) all he can say is "I don't fucking care all they need is clothing" but I know the second I bring home something he's going to hate it just like he hates our furniture, washer and dryer and pretty much anything I've bought. Am I getting mad for no reason or?
