pregnancy after years of birth control? Did it turn out ok?" /> I was on birth control for around 6 years, first the mirena, then the pill. I just found out that I'm pregnant, but Ive been experiencing bleeding and cramping, so it's really making me nervous that I'm going to lose the baby. Wanting to hear if anyone else has gone through this and how it turned out.

Well my hcg levels were slightly higher today than they were on Wednesday. The problem they found was with my progesterone. My level is extremely low, so my dr. put me on Prometrium. I have to go back Monday for another blood draw to see where my levels are at and whether the pregnancy is progessing.

Yes! I was on birth control (the pill) when I got pregnant and had a lot of bleeding. The doctors never could determine why but believe it was a side effect of stopping birth control once I knew I was pregnant. My body didn't know how to react so I had a mini period like I would have had I not gotten pregnant. They monitored my hcg levels for almost a week and I'm now 22 weeks pregnant and baby is doing really good! Hope everything works out for you. Keep us updated!

I had a lot of bleeding. Ended up having a hematoma which I found out at the ultrasound. I also found out I was having identical twins!! They are now 6 years old and healthy as can be. Wishing you all the best!!🙂

I've never been on birth control so I don't know. My first pregnancy though I had spotting and cramping up until 12 weeks and ended up with healthy twins. Good luck!
