baby weight?

So, at my appt yesterday I was 37 weeks 1 day and my doctor felt my stomach. She said she estimates baby weighs 6-7 pounds already. I have 3 more weeks left, am I going to have a big baby? Has anyone had their doctor get close to baby weight just by feeling? I'm not sure how this could be an accurate way of measuring baby weight.

I had my 36 week growth scan today... 8lbs 4oz.

Last pregnancy, my doc done that and told me baby would be around 7 maybe 8. She was 9 and a half. First one they expected around 7. She was 8. This time, I've had ALOT of ultrasounds and my most recent at 35 weeks said she was 7lbs10oz. I just make them big.

That's normal weight! My 38week appointment a couple days ago he weighed in at 8lbs 12oz.. as the ultrasound can fluctuate a few lbs each way I'm hoping he doesn't get any bigger! Lol

I'm doctor said 4 to 4 1/2 pounds at 37 weeks but my first was small also 5lbs3oz at 37 weeks when she was born

6-7 pounds is what the baby is supposed to weigh at 37 weeks!

Keep in mind it's an estimate. At 35.5 they told me 6lb3oz. Today at 38.1 they said 7lbs and said baby was gaining weight just fine. I wouldn't stress too much because those are often pretty far off from actual birth weights
