6 week US for heartbeat?

Hi, 
I am not pregnant, i am new to all of this ttc stuff. I heard an ultrasound is done about 6-8 weeks to see how many sacs, baby's heartbeat etc.

Is ithe scan done, say, 6 weeks from conception or 6 weeks from last period?

This was my first us with my daughter.. By LMP I should have been around 8 weeks. But in the us she measured 6.

Mine was at 12 weeks. If you go in at 6 weeks you won't really be able to see anything!

It's best to have your first dating scan between 6-9 weeks. You'll see a heartbeat around 6+ weeks. If you know your last cycle that's great but the drs will usually go with the early dating scan as it is more accurate

You should also know some doctors won't see their patients until they are 10 weeks or later sometimes. They do go by the date of your last period though 😊

6 weeks from last period. You dont know the exact day of conception hence why you have a ultrasound, amongst other things 😊
