pumping milk for create a stash?

So I've looked up this topic before but I still don't get how women are producing this ginormous stash of milk. Some say they pump every 3 hours but how does that work when the baby wants to eat almost every 2-3 hours. And then if you pump after feeding not much comes out since u basically emptied them. Do you just have to be producing a big supply of milk?

I from the beginning only offer one breast at a time to my child once my milk starts to come in. Usually around day 4/5. When my baby is nursing I pump the other side. This makes your body produce more and since your baby is already latched in to you and creating a hormone surge your body will release more milk.

It's a supply and demand type situation. I start pumping day 4/5 when milk starts to come in. I would get around 1-2 oz off the pumped breast. I'm now 3 weeks PP and I get 6-8 oz per pumping session off a single breast.

I pump every 3-4 hours including night time. Once my baby starts sleeping thru the night I still wake to pump once a night. You produce more milk at night.

The more you pump/nurse the more you produce. My friend would pump at the same time every night after baby was fed and asleep and after a few nights then your body starts to think you need that milk so it produces more at that time or night expecting to be emptied. She she got to where she was pumping like 6-8 oz every night. Then got mastitis when she suddenly stopped pumping.

I pumped inbetween each feeding. Over time,i started to make more. After a while i had to pump so i did get engorged. It takes time. But sometimes we just make more. So after each feed id pump to make aure i was empty that another way to trick your body into thinking it neess to make more

I've read pump 20 mins, rest 10 mins and pump 10 mins... and also pump 5 minutes after milk stops flowing.
