should I go there... or no?

I recently started talking to this guy. He is still in school, (I'm homeschooled) he had a baby about 4 months ago, but him and his gf broke up and she moved to a different state, so he doesn't get to see his son. He has a job. We made plans to get a tattoo together next month, He makes me feel really happy. I like texting him, he makes my day so much better. I go see him a work. I just... I don't know if I should go down that road. It's just his ex and him we're together for 4 years and then now he has nothing to do with her after they had a child together. Should I back off? Or... What if he left her because he had a baby?
